Packaging demand continues to grow in West Africa
Market insight from the Africa 4P Ghana 2027 programme team.
Packaging demand across West Africa is being pulled forward by three forces: modern retail expansion, the growth of e-commerce fulfilment, and the way brand owners are re-specifying secondary and tertiary packaging to survive longer supply chains.
For converters, the practical effect is a wider mix of short runs, faster changeovers and more pressure on print quality. For buyers, it means comparing suppliers on availability of material and on lead time as much as on unit price.
Across Ghana, Nigeria and Cote d'Ivoire, industrial packaging buyers are also consolidating supplier lists. Fewer, more reliable partners with local stock and technical support are winning share over lowest-cost spot purchases.
Africa 4P Ghana 2027 brings those conversations together: converters, machinery suppliers, material traders and brand owners in one hall at The Palms Convention Center, Accra.
