International B2B platform Africa 4P
The international B2B platform for plastics, printing, packaging and petrochemicals — connecting global suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and buyers with Africa's growing industrial market.
One platform, four industries that buy from each other
Africa 4P is the international B2B platform for plastics, printing, packaging and petrochemicals, connecting global suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and buyers with Africa's growing industrial market.
Each Africa 4P edition is a working exhibition rather than a showcase: three days of machinery demonstrations, material sourcing, technical briefings and pre-arranged buyer meetings, held in one of the continent's industrial centres. The four industries share one floor because they share one supply chain — a converter buying resin is also buying packaging machinery, film, inks and the service contracts that keep a line running.
- A single exhibition covering four connected sectors
- Trade buyers, converters, brand owners and distributors in the same halls
- A conference programme built around sourcing and investment decisions
- A year-round platform: exhibitor directory, trade media and buyer introductions
Plastics, printing, packaging and petrochemicals
Four industries, one value chain. Each edition brings all four onto the same floor, so a visitor can source a machine, the material that feeds it, the packaging it produces and the print that finishes it without leaving the hall.
Plastics
Raw materials, masterbatch, extrusion and injection machinery, moulds, recycling systems and finished plastic products.
Printing
Offset, digital and flexo presses, inks, plates, substrates, finishing equipment and label production systems.
Packaging
Rigid, flexible and corrugated packaging, filling and labelling lines, automation, coding and print finishing.
Petrochemicals
Polymers, additives, feedstocks, compounding and the distribution and logistics that move them to converters.
Two editions confirmed for 2027
Africa 4P runs as a series of national editions, each with its own venue, dates, exhibitor list and conference programme. The series begins in East and West Africa and continues to add editions in other African markets.
A continent building its own manufacturing base
Africa's converters, printers and packaging producers are adding capacity to serve a fast-growing consumer market. Most of the machinery, resin, inks and film they run is still imported, which is why regional distributors and agents carry real weight in every purchasing decision.
That combination — growing demand, imported technology and a distribution layer that decides who gets specified — is what an Africa 4P edition is built around. International suppliers meet the people who buy, install and service their equipment locally.
- Urbanisation and modern retail expanding demand for packaged goods
- Import-dependent supply chains, so representation matters as much as price
- A regional trade agenda, including the African Continental Free Trade Area
- Local service, spare parts and training as buying criteria, not afterthoughts
What happens across the three days
Exhibition
A trade floor of machinery, materials and services for the full 4P production chain, with live demonstrations and stand-level technical advice.
4P Talks
Conference sessions on market demand, automation, materials and regulation — written for procurement and production teams, not for the industry's own news cycle.
Buyer meetings
Pre-arranged introductions between exhibiting suppliers and buyers with an active sourcing brief, arranged by the show team before the doors open.
Directory and media
An exhibitor directory, market articles and trade-media partnerships that keep the platform working between editions.
Organised by MIE Events
MIE Events builds international B2B platforms that connect suppliers, buyers and investment opportunities across the Middle East and Africa. Africa 4P is its platform for the plastics, printing, packaging and petrochemicals industries.
Each edition is delivered with local partners, trade media and industry associations, so that international suppliers reach buyers beyond the host city — and so that the programme reflects what the regional market is actually investing in.
